Master of Law ranking of Sciences Po

This inaugural ranking evaluates 140 programs from various law faculties and schools across France, based on the career paths of their recent alumni in public administration, the judiciary, research, and legal practice (see methodology below).

The ranking highlights a significant proportion of programs specializing in business law, demonstrating strong adaptability among their students, whose alumni are present across all sectors of the legal profession.

Parisian institutions dominate the top positions, particularly the Université Panthéon-Assas and the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, which together account for 13 of the top 20 programs.

In the provinces, magistères stand out, with five among the top 10 regional programs:

• the Magistère Droit-Économie-Management at ENS Rennes,

• the Magistère DJCE at Université de Montpellier,

• the Magistère de Droit des Affaires, Fiscalité et Comptabilité at Aix-Marseille Université,

• the Magistère Juriste d’Affaires Européen at Université de Lorraine,

• the Magistère Juriste d’Affaires Franco-Britannique at Université de Rennes.

Finally, schools are ranked using a different methodology due to the size of their institutions and the high proportion of students. Sciences Po, HEC Paris, and ENS Paris stand out, collectively accounting for 27% of the 1,000 alumni included in the study.
